World’s Number 2 Melon Pan Ice Cream
Chanced upon this shop in Kyoto that sells delicious freshly baked melon-pan bun with ice-cream of different flavours. The bun is crispy and crunchy on the exterior and the bread inside are soft. Hot fresh bun with cold ice cream within makes this combination really refreshing.
The shop name is “World’s Number 2 Melon Pan Ice Cream”, or something like that. Not sure why they call themselves number 2. Who is number 1 then??
Located at the Shinkyogoku Shopping Street in Nakagyo ward of Kyoto, it is one of the busiest street frequented by shoppers and visitors.
There are even instructions teaching you how to eat the Ice Cream Melon Pan bun.
- Take a bite of the delicious bun and ice cream
- Use the straw-spoon to scoop the ice cream out
- Keep the bun in a bag to avoid a messy time
- Finish with a delicious ice cream beverage
Beside Kyoto, there are other branch of the “World’s Number 2 Melon Pan Ice Cream” store. There is one in Shibuya too.
