Comiket Cosplay at Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba

Cosplay is a unique and popular culture in Japan where Cosplayers (participants) dressed up as a character from comics, anime, movies, video games etc. It’s quite phenomenal and impressive viewing these cosplayers and the details they put into their costume role-playing.

In Tokyo, you can sometimes see cosplayers in action on every Sunday at Yoyogi Park. However, the best way to “catch” the best cosplayers would be to attend mega events such as Comiket. Comiket means Comic Market and it is a bi-annual event held in Summer and Winter, at Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba. It attracts as much as half a million attendees and I was lucky to catch it last Summer.

Sharing some pictures I have taken in a super hot hot hot summer last year, which is a totally worthwhile and memorable experience! Well, Comiket is happening during this weekend in Tokyo now and do consider visiting it. (Dress cool and stay well protected from the sun)! More details:

Tokyo Big Sight, look at the crowd!

Not going to write anymore for this post. Here are all the photos. More than 20 of them!

How many characters can you recognise? Let me know in the comment below.
